Tag me right

This is my first article since a long time, so you might expect something interesting. Well, I can not warrant you that this is the case.

Just having a look of another phenomenon of the web 2.0, the so called UGC or User Generated Content, we face immediately with a big issue: how to classify that content in an efficient and “useful” manner.

Normally, metadata generated by the media companies is arranged in a way that helps the user to find what they are looking for, and following the criteria of the marketing responsible. But UGC is not the case, it depends on the user criteria and knowledge of how important this data is. In some cases, this field is left almost blank, making this content unreachable or “unsearchable”.

So, this leads to a new way of artificial intelligence that can “listen” to music or “watch” the videos, and from that, generate a metadata that can be feed into the system, helping the human user to find what is looking for.
